Our Work

A Look at Some of Our Repairs

Every appliance tells a story. Here are a few recent jobs from around the Bay Area - real diagnostics, real fixes, and the before & after results that got our customers back up and running.

Commercial Coin-Operated Gas Dryer - Repair & Service

This coin-operated commercial gas dryer had stopped performing the way it should, so our team opened it up for a full diagnostic. We accessed the internal components - the burner assembly, blower, motor, and drive system - to track down the problem and get the unit running reliably again. Commercial dryers like this run far more cycles than a home machine, so keeping the internal parts clean and in good working order is key to avoiding downtime. After servicing and testing, the dryer was back in operation and ready for its next load.

Dryer Repair - Drive Motor Assembly Replacement

This dryer had stopped turning and was no longer drying clothes properly. Our team opened up the back panel, diagnosed a worn-out drive motor, and replaced the full motor and blower assembly. We also took the opportunity to inspect the heating element and airflow path while we had everything apart. After reassembling and testing, the dryer was spinning smoothly and drying like new again.

GE Refrigerator - Main Control Board Replacement & Coil Cleaning

This GE refrigerator wasn't cooling the way it should, so our team pulled it out and accessed the rear panel for a full diagnostic. We found a failed main control board - the part that manages cooling, the compressor, and the defrost cycle - and replaced it with a new one. While we had the unit open, we also thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed the condenser and evaporator coils, which helps the fridge run more efficiently and prevents future cooling problems. After reconnecting everything and powering back up, we confirmed the refrigerator was cooling properly again.

Dryer Vent Cleaning - Rooftop Exhaust

This home's dryer was taking longer than usual to dry clothes - a classic sign of a clogged vent. Our team accessed the rooftop exhaust and found the duct and vent cap packed with built-up lint. We cleared out the blockage, removed the heavy lint buildup from the vent opening, and made sure the exhaust was flowing freely again. Beyond getting the dryer working efficiently, this is an important safety service, since lint-clogged vents are one of the leading causes of household dryer fires.

KitchenAid Refrigerator - Evaporator Fan Motor Replacement & Defrost Repair

This KitchenAid refrigerator had stopped cooling properly, with heavy frost and ice building up behind the freezer panel - a classic sign of a defrost system problem. Our team removed the rear freezer panel and found the evaporator coils iced over and a failed evaporator fan motor, which circulates cold air through the fridge. We replaced the faulty motor, fully cleared the frost buildup, and restored proper defrost operation. After servicing and testing, the coils were clean and frost-free and the refrigerator was cooling evenly again.

GE Washer - Main Control Board & Lid Switch Replacement

This GE washer was having trouble starting and completing cycles properly. Our team opened up the unit and diagnosed a failed main control board along with a faulty lid switch, the safety switch that lets the washer know the lid is closed. We replaced both parts, checked the surrounding wiring and connections, and tested the machine through a full cycle. After the repair, the washer was starting and running reliably again.

GE Refrigerator - Evaporator Fan Motor Replacement

This GE refrigerator wasn't circulating cold air properly, which was affecting cooling throughout the unit. Our team accessed the freezer compartment and diagnosed a failed evaporator fan motor - the component responsible for moving cold air from the evaporator coils into the fridge and freezer. We removed the old motor, installed a new one, and reassembled the compartment. After testing, the refrigerator was cooling evenly and running quietly again.

Dryer Deep Cleaning & Heating Element Service

This dryer was running inefficiently, with heavy lint and dust buildup covering the drum supports, blower, and heating element housing - a real fire hazard and a drag on drying performance. Our team fully opened up the unit and deep cleaned every internal component, then serviced the heating element to make sure it was working safely and efficiently. The difference was dramatic: what came in caked in years of lint dust went out clean, safe, and running like new.

Kenmore Washer - Drain Pump Motor & Door Boot Seal Replacement

This washer had developed a drainage issue along with wear around the door seal. Our team diagnosed a failed drain pump motor, which pumps water out of the machine during the cycle, and also found the door boot seal (gasket) was worn and no longer sealing properly. We replaced both parts, cleaned up the drum area, and reassembled the unit. After testing through a full cycle, the washer was draining properly and sealing tight with no leaks.

Samsung Refrigerator - Evaporator Fan Motor Replacement & Drain Line Defrost

This Samsung refrigerator was having cooling problems caused by a combination of issues in the freezer compartment. Our team found a failed evaporator fan motor along with a clogged, iced-over drain line that was preventing proper defrost drainage. We replaced the fan motor, cleared and opened the drain hose, and melted down the ice buildup around the coils to restore normal airflow and drainage. After reassembling and testing, the refrigerator was cooling properly with the evaporator coils clear and the drain flowing freely.

Sub-Zero Refrigerator - Freezer Door Gasket Replacement & Coil Cover Repair

This built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator had a worn freezer door gasket that was no longer sealing properly, along with a coil cover that needed to be repaired. Our team removed the old, deteriorated gasket and installed a new one to restore an airtight seal on the freezer door, which is essential for keeping the unit running efficiently. We also fixed the coil cover inside the freezer compartment to keep everything properly enclosed and protected. After reassembly, the door was sealing tightly and the freezer was maintaining temperature correctly.

Whirlpool Washer - Drain Pump Motor Replacement

This Whirlpool washer wasn't draining properly, leaving clothes soaked at the end of the cycle. Our team removed the drain hose and boot and found the culprit: a blockage of foreign objects and debris had built up inside, restricting water flow. We cleared the obstruction, replaced the worn drain pump motor, and reassembled and tested the unit through a full cycle. After the repair, the washer was draining completely and running smoothly again.

LG Dryer - Idler Pulley Replacement

This LG dryer had stopped tumbling properly, a common sign of a broken idler pulley - the component that keeps tension on the belt so the drum can spin. Our team opened up the unit and confirmed the pulley bracket had failed. We removed the broken part, installed a new idler pulley assembly, and reassembled the drum and belt system. After testing, the dryer was tumbling smoothly and running quietly again.
